Jessica is a Research Psychologist specializing in spontaneous spiritual awakening experiences. She holds a Masters in Psychology (with Distinction) from the University of Greenwich, where her research focused on altered states of consciousness. Her work bridges science and spirituality, challenging the default pathologization of awakening experiences and advocating for mainstream psychology to recognize the transpersonal as an intrinsic part of human experience. Alongside Dr. David Luke, she has published research on the phenomenology, individual differences, and well-being effects of spontaneous spiritual awakenings, and has presented her work to organizations including the British Psychological Society. Jessica works with the Scientific and Medical Network and the Galileo Commission, collaborates with the Emergent Phenomenology Research Consortium and the Spiritual Crisis Network, and is a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.
